Stony Lonesome OHV Park
Stony Lonesome OHV Park is a 1,500-acre off-road riding facility in Cullman County, approximately 50 miles north of Birmingham near the town of Bremen. The park is privately operated and offers terrain ranging from mild hardwood forest loops to deep mud bogs and rocky technical climbs, one of the more geographically diverse OHV parks in northern Alabama. Trails are open to ATVs, UTVs, dirt bikes, and 4x4 vehicles across multiple interconnected loops through mixed pine and hardwood forest. Operating hours run Friday through Monday with occasional extended holiday weekends, making Stony Lonesome a weekend destination rather than a daily riding facility. On-site primitive camping is available, and the park hosts periodic event days and organized ride weekends. Its location on the southern edge of the Cumberland Plateau gives the terrain a distinct hill-country character, more elevation change and rocky exposure than the flat-terrain mud parks that dominate southern Alabama. Admission is charged per rider per day.
